Review

Two months ago, my wife and I got back from the best vacation of our lives. If I had one thousand tongues I couldn’t express how unbelievable our experience was. However, I’ll sum it up in four words: Four Seasons Resort Guanacaste.

This amazing hotel resort destination in Peninsula Papagayo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica is by far the most luxurious resort destination I’ve been to on this hemisphere.

As an attorney for a prestigious law firm, every year our company hands out Christmas bonuses. Let’s just say, for the past 4 years I’ve been pretty unenthused. If I receive another gift bag with techie toys, specialty chocolates, and a somewhat gracious thank-up check inside, I may just turn in my license. But this year, the firm caught us all by surprise.

When they handed us round trip tickets for two to Costa Rica my interest was peaked. However, when they played the promo video of the Four Seasons Resort at the company social, we were all flabbergasted. Don’t get me wrong. We’ve stayed in some very nice hotels, but nothing like this.

After a five-hour flight from the states and a four-hour drive from San Jose, we were eager to check in upon arrival. Rather than the traditional king-size master suite which has become customary for us, the company upgraded us to a private residence on the other end of the resort. Based upon what we experienced, I’m sure the Casa del Mar Residence Estate was worth every penny.

Beyond the obvious opulence of the room, the chilled, non-alcoholic welcome drink and cold oshibori towel upon our arrival was a nice touch. In addition, the resort’s pools, beaches, water sports, golf course, dance classes, day tours, and hikes were enough to keep up happy for days. After just one day there I knew the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo was the right choice.

In addition to the resort’s five star facilities and amenities, the dining experience was second to none. We enjoyed Latin food one night, Italian the next and a perfect steak dinner at the resort’s steakhouse on the third. The most amazing part of our dining was that we experienced all of this variety without ever leaving the resort.

After five days of pampering, we were sad to go. It was an experience we will never forget. So, if you’re thinking of where to spend your next vacation, think no more. The Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo is the way to go.
